2026 Summer Bachelorette Adventure in Leavenworth

Last Updated September 2026

My fiancé and I will actually be eloping in the fall but that hasn’t stopped us from wanting to celebrate with friends and family leading up to the big day! We live near the Seattle, Washington area and had always wanted to visit Leavenworth so I figured what better a time than my Bachelorette to make the trip? I had friends driving in from Central and Portland Oregon and family flying in from Denver and southern Oregon. Although, there is an airport in Wenatchee, Washington, about 30 minutes from Leavenworth, the cost of the flights and the flight options were not ideal. Some decided to fly in from the International airports in Portland and Seattle.

VRBO in Leavenworth

We had 8 people, including myself, that I was looking to find lodging for. Ultimately, decided to rent out this beautiful cabin just 15 minutes North of town for the weekend. It was just outside of town and only about 5 minutes from Safeway to stock up on groceries for the weekend. Check out some other VRBO options here!

First Day – Arriving in Leavenworth

We all arrived around 4 pm to the VRBO to get set up. My wonderful friends and family had surprised me by setting up a Taylor Swift themed Bachelorette. In order to do that, they had to kick me out and sent me out grocery shopping for the group. So, I drove to the Safeway in town, about a 15 minute drive, and I must say this was the cutest Safeway to drive up to. If you haven’t visited the town yet, it is a heavily German inspired town.

When I got back to the VRBO, I walked into a wonderfully decorated and Taylor Swift inspired Bachelorette space. My friends made a banner, bough customized koozies, and a sash all for me. I will admit, this level of thoughtfulness and love was overwhelming, in a good way. I knew they were up to something, my friends are amazing but covertness and subtlety are not their strong suits! But this? I never would have imagined something like this. It was amazing, and wonderful, and just proved to me that I surround myself with amazing women who are nothing but supportive and uplifting.

Second Day – Hike at Leavenworth Hill, Dinner, Karaoke

Leavenworth Hill hike

This was a leisure hike but finding it was interesting as the trailhead is located near a school. Thankfully, we were visiting on a weekend after school had been released for the Summer so we didn’t have any issues with being able to park in the school parking lot. Just prepare for this if you choose this hiking trail and visit when school is in session.

Leavenworth Adventure Park – Alpine Slide

Note: Absolutely, 100% would do the Alpine Slide again.

Another note: Purchase tickets AHEAD of time. We, thankfully, did and when we arrived to check in for our scheduled time, they had sold out of walk-up tickets. They sell tickets every half hour but that doesn’t mean you will be riding at that time.

Buckled in and ready for the Alpine slide!

Again, it’s such a popular attraction and fun experience that it took us nearly an hour from when we check in, with our pre-purchased tickets, to actually getting onto the ride. They have a short safety speech and safety videos playing prior to getting buckled in.

This was the one and only photo I actually looked good in from a photo taken on a ride, so of course I had to purchase it.

Dinner at Yodelin

Black arrow sign with "Yodelin downstairs" written, directing customers to the restaurant.

We headed out to dinner and managed to find a free parking spot not far from the restaurant. We walked the 5-10 minutes to find the Yodelin sign and put our names on the list. Definitely recommend reserving your spot prior, we waiting about 40 minutes for our large part of 8 to be seated. Well worth the wait, in my opinion.

This was our a view from the outdoor seating we were located at for our dinner. It was gorgeous watching the sunset behind the mountains and getting to see the sky transition from summer blue skies to oranges and red sunset. We could feel the temperature cooling as we ate our dinner.

We had run into another group of women at dinner who provided us some recommendations on bars to visit in the area. Our first, and turned out to be our only stop: Post Offie Saloon.

Are you brave enough to sing in front of strangers?

Need I say more? We had a wonderful time, listening to others sing, and singing ourselves. It was pretty amazing to see multiple Bachelorette groups come and go and seeing the locals hang out at the pool table and socializing throughout the night. Definitely glad we ran into that group at dinner to recommend this spot!

Day Three – Checking Out and Heading Home, After Coffee

The 8 of us woke up, packed up, cleaned up the VRBO, and headed out. Some of the group headed back home since they drove in. Others had some time to adventure until needing to catch a flight out of Seattle or Portland. So naturally, our first stop, was coffee.

Don’t let the giant display of fudge fool you, this shop does in fact offer coffee and tea options for customers. After getting some much needed caffeine we wandered around town and stopped into a few shops.

Overall Thoughts

I had an absolute blast visiting Leavenworth. The activities (hiking and the Alpine slide) was an absolute blast. The location was amazing, stopping into town and visiting the farmer’s market was a nice surprise, and the friends who joined me for the weekend was everything I could have imagined, and more. I hope you consider checking out Leavenworth for your next adventure!
