Have you ever had a chance to meet wolfdogs in real life? I hadn’t! I had seen videos of people visiting wolf dog sanctuary’s in various states but didn’t know Washington a sanctuary of its own! To be honest, this trip was also part of a birthday surprise so it was a win-win. This particular sanctuary is located in Shelton, Washington. A short 30-minute drive from home. Discovering The Beautiful Wonders of Washington State

Updated April 2026 Day 1: Mount Vernon On Saturday, the day began with some much needed coffee to prepare for 5 hours of driving. Then, arriving at our hotel to check in at Wyndham Mount Vernon in Washington state. The hotel was gorgeous with massively high ceilings, a gym, a pool, and free breakfast in the morning. Our hotel was a five minute walk from a Orange Teriyaki, a bowling alley, and some other shopping amenities. Updated April 2026 Hopefully you were able to read about my adventures in North Cascades National Park! After spending a couple of nights at an AirBnB in Chehalis, Washington, I was ready to explore Mt. Rainier National Park. I was able to set out early and got to the park around 6:30 am.
